How long does a switchboard upgrade take?
Most homes are done in a day. The power is off for part of that time, so we will talk through timing with you before we start.
What is the difference between a safety switch and a circuit breaker?
A circuit breaker protects the wiring from overloading. A safety switch protects people from electric shock. Most homes need both.
Can you move a power point?
Yes. Moving or adding a power point is one of the most common jobs we do.
Can you swap my old halogen downlights for LED?
Yes. LED downlights run cooler and use far less power. We will make sure the new fittings suit your ceiling and insulation.
Can a fan go where a light is now?
Usually, yes. We check the ceiling can take the weight and the wiring suits a fan.
